The project will involve:
Works are scheduled to commence on Tuesday 22 April, with an expected completion by end of Autumn 2025.
A pop-up event was held at the GL3 Hub on 13th March. The event provided an opportunity to meet the project team from Montel, Atkins and Gloucestershire County Council, and learn more about the project and schedule of works.

What are the working hours, and will there be night works?
Will you need to close any roads?
There will be a requirement to close some of the roads, but most closures are expected to occur overnight unless a daytime closure is essential. Further information will be sent out regarding road closures nearer to the time.
How will you avoid creating excessive noise/pollution/dust and mud during construction?
Regular noise monitoring will be undertaken, and our modern plant fleet is fitted with effective exhaust silencers to minimise noise emissions. To reduce the production of dust we will eliminate cutting in the first place. However, there will be activities where production of dust is unavoidable. These operations will be strictly controlled and the necessary and appropriate water suppression measures put in place prior to commencements. Road sweepers will also be used when required to suppress dust and mud and to ensure the cleanliness of the existing carriageway is maintained.
Will bus services be interrupted?
Will there be any traffic management put in place and how will this affect my journey?
In order to provide a safe environment for both members of the public and our workforce, there will be traffic management implemented at times, including narrow lane running, lane closures and three-way temporary traffic signals. All measures have been agreed with Gloucestershire County Council Highway’s team prior to implementation – and it will be inspected daily by our specialist traffic management contractor.
