The site team has achieved significant progress on the improvement works to the Chief Trading Post site since May and have successfully completed phases 1-3 which has included the completion of the new junction to the entrance of the development site and the construction of a new substation within the site. They have also installed a new highway drain system from the junction of Oakleigh Gardens along Barry Road, including new gullies, and installed and connected foul and surface water manholes on Barry Road and into the site. The community will have also seen the construction of a new footpath leading to the newly installed bus stop and shelter on Barry Road (South bound), new street lighting columns have also been put in place.
The first phase of works will be commencing on 15th May and will consist of connecting foul and surface water manholes on Barry Road into the site. We will require 3-way temporary traffic lights on the junction of Barry Road and Oakleigh Gardens for approximately 3 weeks.
