June 2026 – Overnight Road Closures Notice
We would like to inform residents, businesses and road users of upcoming overnight road closures associated with the ongoing improvement works at Stratford-upon-Avon.
Essential works will take place between Monday 8th June 2026 and Friday 26th June 2026, with road closures in operation between 8:00pm and 6:00am each night. Please note that the nights of 23rd–26th June are contingency dates and may not be required.
The closures will affect sections of the A46 Alcester Road, Drayton Manor Drive, A422 and Wildmoor Roundabout, with clearly signed diversion routes in place.
The works include:
- Installation of new asphalt surfacing.
- New road markings, signage and lighting associated with the new A46 roundabout.
- Removal of existing road lighting and signage.
- Installation of temporary asphalt ramping at Wildmoor Roundabout.
We appreciate the patience and understanding of local residents, businesses and road users while these essential improvements are completed.

Montel Civil Engineering has been appointed by IM properties as main contractor to complete a new access roundabout A46.
Project includes:
- Construction of a new side-hung circulatory carriageway and resurfacing to the A46.
- The formation of a new access road from the southern leg
- of the proposed roundabout to provide access to Drayton
- Manor Drive and the future commercial development.
- The extension of the existing Drayton Brook culvert.
- A new pre-cast concrete culvert underneath the proposed spine road.
- Updated highway drainage systems including water three retention ponds.
- Updated street lighting and signage.
- Ground re-profiling and landscaping.
